2-(2-Aminoethylamino)ethanol (AEEA) (CAS: 111-41-1) is a linear molecule with primary and secondary amine groups. AEEA is a clear colorless liquid with an ammonia-like odor, with slightly higher viscosity than EDA (CAS: 107-15-3) and DETA (CAS: 111-40-0).
AEEA is used as an important intermediate in the manufacture of lube oil additives, fuel additives, chelating agents, surfactants and fabric softeners among other applications.
Used in shampoo, lubricant, oilfield buffer, resin synthesis, textile auxiliaries, imidazoline amphoteric surfactant, etc., can also be used as cationic, zwitterionic surfactant raw materials; can also be used as epoxy resin curing agent, raw materials for other fine chemicals.
Used to make dyes, resins, rubber, coatings, insecticides, medicines, and others.
Piperazines can be produced in large quantities by using 2-(2-Aminoethylamino)ethanol (AEEA).
